Darryl E. Walker was born in Denver, Colorado where he was educated in the public schools and attended the Metropolitan State College. Went on to receive a B.Th from New Hope Bible College & Seminary continued in biblical studies and received his M.Div. Rev. Darryl Walker married Yvonne M. Smith in the fall of 1977 together they raised two sons Donovan and Eric.
Darryl E. Walker was licensed to preach in 1971 admitted to the Colorado Annual Conference in 1972, ordained an Itinerant Deacon in 1974 and ordained an Itinerant Elder in 1977.
Rev. Darryl Walker has served as pastor of, Mt. Olive in Emporia, Kansas, Allen Chapel in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Ebenezer in Bremerton, Washington, Parks Chapel in Los Angeles, California, St. John in Omaha, Nebraska, Allen in Tacoma, Washington, Ebenezer in Kansas City, Missouri and is now the proud pastor of Turner Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church in Hyattsville, MD.
Rev. Darryl Walker has served as Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Unified School District and President of many Ministerial Alliance Groups. Pastor Walker was voted to be one of the one hundred most influential persons in Kansas City, Missouri. Pastor Walker was voted "Pastor of the Year" by the Lay organization of the Northwest Missouri Conference. He has served on the executive boards of the NAACP, the Black Health Care Coalition. He now serves on the executive board of the Foundation for Hospices in Sub- Saharan Africa, Inc. in Washington, DC. In addition, he is the Chief Executive Officer of the Henry McNeal Turner Early Learning Center in Oxon Hills Maryland.
